Senior Manager, Strategic Development & Projects

Niall is a Senior Manager of Strategic Development & Projects across Canada and the US, leading the business case development, master planning and execution of complex low carbon, steam to hot water campus conversion projects for universities, colleges and public entities in both countries. Niall specializes in the development of low carbon thermal energy networks, utilizing technologies such as air source heat pumps and water source heat pumps with open and closed loop geoexchange and renewable energy sources such as solar and waste heat. Within FVB, Niall leads strategic partnerships to assist FVB’s clients executing their specific project requirements. He is also an advisor to stakeholder engagement groups and municipalities, working to develop policies to support low carbon district energy systems. Niall is passionate about utilizing district energy to reduce green house gas emissions at scale and has consulted in the North American and European district energy industry for over 14 years.
