With over 40 years of experience in the Energy industry, Richard is considered to be one of the early adopters and pioneers of the District Energy business in North America, and has been assisting communities develop successful District Energy solutions for over 30 years. His responsibilities include business and strategic plan development, marketing and sales assistance, technical planning, conceptual business and technical design, and financial assistance. Richard also has first-hand knowledge of energy markets and experience in managing fuel procurement risk.

Throughout his extensive career, Richard has been involved with the development and implementation of over 25 successful DE systems in Canada, the U.S. and in the Middle East.  He has guided clients to transform and modernize their District Energy system and been a leading voice for low carbon and greening solutions throughout his career.

Richard is frequently called upon to contribute at industry Conferences and Events, and has presented technical papers and been a featured Speaker for Low Carbon and District Energy systems presentations.  As well, he contributes to industry papers, peer reviews and has been a director on several industry boards.
